At Yardley Baptist Church we take a verse from the Bible as a theme and focus for the year ahead. For 2025 our verse is Matthew 11:29, taken from The Message.

This version highlights three key words
- Walk - Work - Watch -
that we will be focusing on throughout the year ahead. Building on our verse of the year for 2024 (Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105), our hope is that this verse will inspire us to seek to walk more closely with God. We also hope that we will be inspired to more diligently listen out for His guidance and direction, both as individuals, and as a church community.
